"Bringing Unchanging Truth to Changing Students"
NXT Generation Youth Ministries exists to reach the students of our community
with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, never diluting the message but always
adapting the methods. We are part of the Chicago Central District NYI
(Nazarene Youth International) Church of the Nazarene and the general
Church of the Nazarene World-Wide.
Our Mission:
"To lead teenagers toward an authentic and growing relationship with Jesus
Christ."

(Sunday Night After Church)
Sunday, 7:15pm - 9:00pm
Bi-weekly
After church on Sunday evenings we meet for a time of fellowship and food.
We will sometimes go to the home of a teen in the youth group, miniature
golfing, out for pizza or stay at the church.
Celebration Orchestra
Wednesday, 8:15pm - 9:00pm
Weekly - Sanctuary
If you play an instrument and would be willing to use that talent for
the Lord we have a place for you. No matter the instrument, we can use
you. Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings after Nxt Generation. The band
accompanies congregational singing on Sundays and also plays offertories.
Open to those 14 years of age and older.
NYI Council
Sunday, 1:30pm
Once a month
The NYI Council is a planning, dreaming and outreach group that provides
leadership and guidance for the youth group. NYI stands for Nazarene Youth
International. We are a part of the denominational NYI around the world.
The group includes three adults and six students representing both the
Jr. High and Sr. High age groups. Term of service is for one year beginning
in May.
Nxt Generation
Wednesday, 7:00pm - 8:15pm
Weekly - Fellowship Hall
The heart of Nxt Generation Youth Ministries can be found right here.
You are invited to come join us for times of inspiring, yet sometimes
wacky singing. Challenging, yet sometimes unusual sports, and times of
sharing each others needs and lifting one another up in prayer. At the
end is a message designed to help you understand the Christian life and
how Jesus fits in with your world. At the first of each semester we start
a team competition with the winning team receiving a free trip at the
end of the semester. Past trips have been to Chicago on the train with
a lunch at Hard Rock Cafe or Gino's Pizzeria, trips to Warren Dunes State
Park or Magic Waters Water Park in Rockford. If you are new to the area
and/or looking for an entry point into the youth group this is the place
to start.
Competitive Bible Quizzing
Sunday, 4:30pm - 5:45pm
September thru March
Our team, usually 4 - 8 students, travel to various competitions and invitationals

competition high scoring individuals will be selected for a regional team.
This exciting, fast paced opportunity is open to all.
