Welcome to Joliet First Church’s Nursery! We desire to provide your child and family with a positive, happy, safe and caring experience. Our mission is to offer an enjoyable worship experience for parents by providing quality childcare that is safe, caring and reflects faith in Jesus Christ.

Upon arrival to our nursery, each family will be given an ID tag. In the event you are needed in the nursery an usher or nursery staff member will contact you. Each child is signed in and checked out by the parent to ensure that your child is picked up by the right person! You will be given an information booklet and card to fill out, so our caregivers know your child’s needs.

Our caregivers are all volunteers from the congregation. They will do the following with your child:

• Check and change diaper
• Keep toys sanitized
• Notify parent if child cries and cannot be consoled
• Notify parent of any unusual behavior or actions
• Change crib sheets after each use
• Be a Christ-like example of love to your child
• Love and play with your child

During your child’s time in the nursery, he/she will be participating in a schedule of activities. The schedule is listed below and may be varied slightly depending upon circumstances.

• Bible Story Time - Sunday School
• Activity Page - Sunday School
• Snack - Sunday School
• Music - Sunday School
• Bible-based video - Worship
• Clean-up - Worship
